Len Hutton is
the only batsman in Tests to be given out for deliberately 'obstructing the
field'. In a match between England and South Africa at The Oval in 1951, Hutton
swatted away the ball which was about to land on the wickets after bouncing off
from his bat. Wicketkeeper Russel Endean , who was poised to catch the ball, appealed
successfully against the batsman.
